Andrea Galano Toro is a Chilean audiovisual artist, graphic designer, and researcher based in Barcelona. Her practice explores storytelling as a gesture to activate and inspire transformational experiences through audiovisual installations, graphic work, performances, workshops, and lectures. She focuses on ecological narratives, animism, hybridity, magic, and dreams, for her, re-enchant this world, open new worlds, and allow for a regenerative narrative to emerge in a society of rigidity and linearity. She has participated in Sonic Acts Biennale 2022 (Amsterdam), Petrohradská kolektiv Residency (Prague), and Valley of the Possible Residency (Chile) in collaboration with Museo del Hongo (CL). She co-authored Planetary Embodiment: Cooking with Words for Systemic Change and Solidarity and is part of Cruda Collective, with Laila Saber Rodriguez, where they host workshops and create audiovisual spell-casting performances.
