Yi-Chi attained his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance at the Taipei National University of the Arts. In 2018, he moved to Europe and joined Dance Company Theater Osnabrück and later joined Staatsballett Berlin as a Demi-soloist contemporary dancer in August of 2019. Since 2021, he’s been a guest dancer/performer with Alan Lucien Øyen’s dance theater hybrid: Winter Guests and performed in the creation The American Moth and Story, story, die Europe/Canada/Taiwan tour between 2022-2024. In recent year, he participated in the work Chiroptera co-produced by visual artist JR, choreographer Damien Jalet and Chanel, performed at the outdoor architectural installation of the Paris Opera House. He is also interested in visual arts and different performance forms. Since 2021, he has collaborated with Berlin based artist Young-jun Tak on his serial dance film, exhibited at the Lyon Biennale, Sweden, Spain, Berlin, Seoul and other places. In 2024, he collaborated with Marianna Sim- nett for her solo exhibition WINNER in Hamburger Bahnhof.
