Didi Kirsten Tatlow

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Didi Kirsten Tatlow is a correspondent for the New York Times based in Beijing where she lives with her husband, two children and two Chinese Boxer dogs. She looks at the โ€œinsideโ€ and the โ€œoutsideโ€ in telling the China story, at women, sex, non-economic development, and social and aesthetic issues that are often overlooked; disability, serial murder, art and culture. Her early years in Hong Kong, then a colony, gave insight into race and exploitation and the lived, un-Orientalist reality of China.
