The entire team of transmediale is appalled by the deportation decision made public earlier this week, targeting our former coworker Kasia Wlaszczyk and three other activists in Berlin, Cooper Longbottom, Shane O’Brien, and Roberta Murray.

The information disclosed in the media raises serious concerns about the disciplinary use of migration law to silence activist voices. transmediale stands in solidarity with them and reminds that no one should be persecuted or uprooted – let alone sent to places where their safety is at risk – due to their political beliefs.
