This session is a live research environment where performance, lecture, and guided meditation converge to investigate what it means to build anti extractive worlds from the inside out. We will gather as a temporary assembly to examine grief as a signal, refusal as a design orientation, and relation as the substrate of future infrastructures.
Participants will move between listening, sensing, writing, and collective reflection. Together, we will trace the subtle ways extraction scripts our applications, open calls, panels, platforms, and datasets, and experiment with counter-practices rooted in embodied citation. This is a space for those building tools and institutions inside urgent times: artists, developers, curators, organisers, engineers, and anyone trying to remain human in systems optimised to forget what bodies carry.
We will prototype micro-gestures of care and boundary-setting, practices that can be smuggled back into meetings, studio sessions, and funding cycles. The session is an invitation to rehearse a world where rigour does not require self-erasure, where endings are tended to, and where the archive remembers the many hands that make any project possible.
