Diakron is a platform and studio for transdisciplinary research and practice located in Copenhagen. Diakron is based on exploratory research as a core value and is currently interested in creative ways of identifying and dealing with changes that invisibly permeate or unavoidably overwhelm ways of life. The group’s project Hybrid Organizations is an effort to re-think the future of the Danish welfare state and state and enterprise apparatuses in general. Here “hybrid” refers to the ways disciplines are converging in new types of organizations that overspill sector divisions, and “organization” refers to an interest in what it means to organize rather that what an organization is.

At transmediale Diakron will conduct a series of conversations with visitors and contributors to the festival, treating the event as a node in an ongoing research project on the nature of hybrid organizations. The research not only gathers knowledge, but attempts to highlight possible future alliances between emerging organizational forms.

Diakron ist eine Plattform und ein Studio für transdisziplinäre Forschung und Praxis in Kopenhagen. Diakron versteht die explorative Forschung als zentralen Wert und setzt sich derzeit mit kreativen Arten des Identifizierens und Verhandelns von Veränderungen auseinander, die unmerklich in den Alltag dringen oder ihn ungehindert fluten. Mit ihrem Projekt Hybrid Organizations versucht die Gruppe, die Zukunft des dänischen Wohlstandsstaates, Staats und Unternehmensmodelle allgemein neu zu denken. „Hybrid“ bezieht sich darauf, wie Disziplinen zu neuen Formen der Organisation zusammenwachsen und die Einteilung in Sektionen überholen. „Organization“ meint mehr das Interesse an dem, was es bedeutet zu organisieren als an Organisationen selbst. Bei der transmediale wird Diakron eine Reihe von Gesprächen mit Besucher_innen und Teilnehmer_innen führen und die Veranstaltung so als Knotenpunkt in diesem fortlaufenden Forschungsprojekt über die Natur hybrider Organisationsformen nutzen. Ziel ist nicht nur, Wissen zu sammeln, sondern auch, eine Plattform für mögliche künftige Allianzen zwischen neuen Formen des Organisierens zu schaffen.
