The session revolves around the interactive Dream-Drums, created originally for the 36th Ljubljana Biennial in 2025. Dream-Drums are sculptures and/or instruments fitted with elastic microphone membranes that transform touch into sound.

LORECORE with Anan Fries

The performance LORECORE is a live-generated video essay brought to life by three performers and a robot cat, presented by HAU with artist and former transmediale resident Anan Fries. StreamArtNetwork Archipelago

SAN Archipelago
StreamArtNetwork

SAN Archipelago is a dispersed studio-chain at transmediale 2026: chroma-green islands in Krakow, Kyiv, Budapest, Warwick, Leeds, Munich and Vilnius, linked by converging streams and shared currents. Emerging from anti-war webcasts and solidarity media actions, StreamArtNetwork (SAN) operates as a low-budget, high-intensity carrier-net for collective presence across borders, territories and time-zones. Thinking with archipelago-drift, SAN leans into highly distributed, translocal communication: many shores, no centre; relation without consolidation.

Throughout the festival, the Archipelago will appear as a chill-ready, shaded locality (with nearby amenities) where visitors can drift in and out of live-streamed interviews, discussions and performances. In the shadows of late platformism, prototyping different modes of togetherness: circular, collage-like, modular practices that keep re-writing pixels and data in multidirectional, real-time transmissions. Returning to the problem of sovereign media, breaking with influencer metrics, market logics and audiencing. Errors, feedback, glitches, spiraling discontinuities and other contingencies offer further conditions of exploration. We don’t scale, we connect. We are not hybrid enough.

StreamArtNetwork

StreamArtNetwork (SAN) is a distributed array of green-screen studios and hybrid media labs dedicated to stream aesthetics, hybrid togetherness and participatory transmissions. Emerging from UKRAiNATV’s weekly anti-war webcasts in Krakow after the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, SAN has expanded as media artists, activists, journalists, DJs, AV producers, and other wayward travelers have picked up the stream in solidarity with artists in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and beyond. By 2026, SAN had formed an archipelago of studios: UKRAiNATV (Krakow), THE VOID / Institute of Network Cultures (Amsterdam), Re:Frame.TV (Kyiv), Konfluxus (Budapest), CDI-TV (Warwick) and 3022 (Vilnius). Together they experiment with low-budget, sustainable, translocal infrastructures for collaborative streaming, telematic performances and live webcasting. SAN streams against war, neo-imperialism and platform monopolies, and for circular aesthetics, redistributed resources and radically accessible media tools. Its long-term mission: a green-box studio and collaborative media lab in every institution, to reclaim the internet, our archives, digital and critical culture, and advance direct, equal, multi-directional communication across political, geographical and technological boundaries.

CTM 2026

CTM 2026

The 2026 edition of CTM , transmediale's sister festival, opens up an invitation to inhabit the spaces in-between, the charged fields where frequencies meet, clash, and sometimes unexpectedly unite under the theme dissonate < > resonate. This years' edition spans across venues such as Volksbßhne, Radialsystem, Haus der Visionäre, Morphine Raum, and RSO.

Aunty Rayzor

An ITCZ of Many Tongues

transmediale and CTM come together for another year, presenting An ITCZ of Many Tongues , a night where sonic currents meet like winds in the Intertropical Convergence Zone. Across Säule, hemispheric pulses collide and braid. These artists speak in many tongues – of bass, breath, drum, texture, glitch, and time-honored signal. Their poly(algo)rhythms function as vibrational languages, carrying the atmospheres of many skies, mountains, and waters, into Berlin’s subterranean chamber. The evening includes sets by Microhm , Dengue Dengue Dengue , DJ Love , Aunty Rayzor , and Clementaum .

Programme evening: 29 Jan, 2026

Vica Pacheco

Transhemispheric Resonances
Nursalim Yadi Anugerah ࿐ ࿔*:・゚ Vica Pacheco

In this two-part concert presented by transmediale and CTM, Nursalim Yadi Anugerah and Vica Pacheco take the stage separately – yet together they compose a trans-hemispheric conversation across forest soundscapes and time-honored breath-based codes and technologies.

Vica Pacheco and Nursalim Yadi Anugerah each compose a reciprocal field of listening and echoing: clay vessels answering bamboo reeds, ritual meeting ritual, myth touching forest. Their sonic offerings converge into an exploration of how sound becomes protocol, orientation and re·attunement – how listening might serve as a form of healing, compassing, and multi world-making across distance and difference.
