Thank you for joining us By the Mango Belt & Tamarind Road 💚🤎🧡

After four days of festival flows the 2026 edition of transmediale has come to a close. Our heartfelt thanks go to all festival visitors, participants and contributors, the curators, the volunteers, and the entire team, who made this edition very special.

  1. Gosia Lehmann, Sarah Friend, Arkadiy Kukarkin, Liquid Assets, Performance at transmediale 2026

  2. Aarati Akkapeddi, Discursive Element, Activation at transmediale 2026

  3. Chia Amisola, Every Love Song in the World, Lecture Performance at transmediale 2026

Across High Tide and Low Tide moments, the programme unfolded through lecture-performances, talks, listening sessions, screenings, and hydraulic sound performances, alongside edible and other sensory explorations of tropical intertwinements. This year, for the first time, CANK in Neukölln was one of the festival venues, hosting installations, concerts, and workshops alongside our main site at silent green. Temporary architectures readjusted movement and perspective throughout the spaces, while hanging•structures (already very missed!) invited moments of net•resting to balance each other.

Manthia Diawara, Neema Githere, Juan Pablo Garcia Sossa, On AI, Curatorial Conversation, Conversation at transmediale 2026

Intimate and relational conversations balanced the focused attention of lecture-performances, as well as unforgettable concerts by wordsofAzia, Nursalim Yadi Anugerah, Vica Pacheco, Animistic Beliefs & Jeisson Drenth, and Afrotronix.

  1. Afrotronix, Closing Night: Afrotronix, Concert at transmediale 2026

  2. Colectivo Werebere, Sentimiento Océanico, Concert at transmediale 2026

Throughout the festival days, curatorial wordplay guided this year’s edition: an invitation to tune into hungry imaginations, to measure time beyond scrolls, to net•rest and net•render in relation with one another, and to reconsider the infra•structures that hold us.

Thank you for sharing this time with us!
