Karl Mayala Bizet, also known as Petit Bizet (of La Société des Ambianceurs), has been working as a cultural mediator for 12 years. He released his first vinyl compilation, Mbote na beno, in 2013, and shortly thereafter formed the DJ duo La Société des Ambianceurs. Drawing on the Congolese records collected by his parents, he founded the association Les Ambianceurs: Rumba Congolaise, which advocates for the preservation of Congolese heritage through the creation of a media library. By centralising his activities – cultural mediation, record sales, and music publishing – at the Centre Culturel Brazzaville (Geneva), he is now recognised as a key figure in Geneva’s cultural scene.
