Laura Kurgan is a professor of architecture and directs the M.S.in Computational Design Practices and the Center for Spatial Research at GSAPP, Columbia University. She has written Close Up at a Distance: Mapping, Technology, and Politics (2013), and co-edited Ways of Knowing Cities (2019).
