Schwelle' is a media art project in three parts, exploring the limits of consciousness on the threshold between life and death. The three parts of the project reflect the Tibetan Book of the Dead. TESLA presents parts 1 and 2. The first part is a stormy meditation in which the moments preceding death can be experienced through images and sound. In the second part, the material odyssey of the body is reflected in the dance of Michael Schumacher. His body is immersed in a bright sphere of light whose colours and sounds ceaselessly change.

‘Schwelle’ ist ein Medienkunstprojekt in drei Teilen über die Grenzbereiche des Bewusstseins an der Schwelle zum Tod. Die einzelnen Teile des Projekts sind angelehnt an das Tibetische Totenbuch. TESLA präsentiert die Teile 1 und 2. Teil 1 besteht aus einer stürmischen Meditation, in der über Bildsprache und Sound Momente bis zum Tod innerlich durchlebt werden. Im zweiten Teil 2 begibt sich der Körper auf eine stoffliche Irrfahrt. Die Zuschauer erleben den Tänzer Michael Schumacher. Sein Körper wird in eine Halogenlicht-Sphäre getaucht, in der Farbe, Licht und Sound sich unablässig ändern.
