We need Prayers is a series of short videos produced by the multidisciplinary arts collective The Nest Collective. The series is dedicated to the city of Nairobi and highlights the dysfunctions that many of its citizens encounter on a daily basis, including hustling artists, millenials vlogging about 21st century dating, civil servants, and those who need their services. In This One Went to Market, a young Kenyan visual artist comes up with a sly plan to take over the art world abroad. The work commissioned by Performa Festival in New York stars Kenyan singer, songwriter, actress, radio and reality TV personality Patricia Kihoro.
