Carolina Valente Pinto (she/her) works as researcher in media and artistic research at Avans Hogeschool. With a transdisciplinary background in New Media and Digital Culture and Graphic Design, she focuses on public research emphasising the role of the media imaginaries that shape our digital spaces and communities. Carolina has previously worked as cultural programmer at The Hmm, a platform for inclusive internet cultures, and researcher and project coordinator at the Institute of Network Cultures, researching alternative platforms, publishing, hybrid cultural events, and media activism. Overall, Carolina works on developing inclusive cultural and research-based experiences that promote media literacy and shared agency over our networks.
